I think I like this one a bit more than the last one. I'm learning a little more about how to use my program, (Garageband, for those of you who were curious) and getting less shy about belting in my apartment, where all the neighbors can hear. XD;;



I'll probably do the finished song later, but right now I need to STOP PROCRASTINATING and get back to drawing my webcomic!

I was practicing drawing from photos by using this pic for ref.

And then I thought about continuing her down below where the photo ends, and since I've been drawing a lot of mermaids lately, I was like "What about a Lady Gaga mermaid!? OH MY GOD!" and I was totally going to, but then I thought "Lady Naga" and I was like DUUUUUUUUUUUDE. And I just know she'd totally love this idea too, since she's on her big monster kick right now. OH LADY GAGA I WISH I COULD MEET YOU and ask if I could make a comic all about you being a popstar naga. Since I probably will never get that chance, I'll just assume you'd say yes, and put you in my web-comic (Sister Claire) sometime. XD

For the record, I love her kermit Dress.  I think it's ADORABLE and HILARIOUS and AWESOME and I can't believe she came up with it before I did. Never stop, Gaga.

Also, I made a  cover.. er... Karaoke Version of "Bad Romance."
It took a good chunk of my afternoon.  It was so much fun to do! I need to practice all different styles of music, especially since I'm more used to choral/acoustic/otherwise less aggressive music.  Definitely a fun challenge.  And I have more Gaga karaoke songs here, so... there might be more coming, I dunno.  I really wish I had a karaoke for "Paparazzi" that wasn't embedded in a Youtube video, I don't know how to extract the audio from those. =(

In other news, I'm going to see The Music Man in concert, starring Lisa Vroman and Brent Barrett, in San Jose next Sunday with Raphael and Andy. Huzzah! Front row center seats with the boys, too. ^_^

Well, I finally met with him for coffee today. (It didn't happen last night, for whatever reason. I called and left a message but he never got back to me, so I assume something just came up.) We spent maybe an hour sitting outside Starbucks and just chatting about this and that. It's the first time we've seen each other since we met when he came into the store like a few weeks ago, so it was the first time I really looked at him. He's incredibly tall (6'5"! I'm only 5'3") and seems a little older than his 28 years to me for some reason. Not in personality, just in looks. Maybe it's the bald spot? I dunno. A large part of it could be the uniform, since he was technically on duty at the time. (And yeah, he had a gun strapped to his side and all that jazz.) We didn't really talk about anything in particular, just the same kind of meandering conversation we've had on the phone over the past few days.

I have to say, I think he's very nice but I'm not really attracted to him. Like, at all. I know that could change, of course, but right now I just don't see it happening. I dunno. I don't want to just close the door on the whole thing because, as I said, I know this could change and I could suddenly find myself wildly attracted to him at some point. But at the same time, I don't want to keep talking to him and meeting up with him and essentially leading him on if I don't feel anything, you know? I'll figure it out.

I am glad I went. If nothing else, I had a nice time chatting with him and I got the experience out of the way so it (theoretically) won't be horrifying next time. I learned his last name and his age for certain, and he learned my age too, which was something that I was kind of worried about. (It turned out not to bother him at all, since he figured I was probably 22 or 23. I'm turning 22 on Sunday, so that works.) He's a very nice man who I don't think I'm attracted to, but at least it wasn't a waste of time on something that was a total bust. We'll see what happens from here, I guess.

Over the course of the last 12 or so months, America has become infected with what can only be described as Lady Gaga Fever.

In 2009, the 23-year-old dance-pop diva-in-the-making scored two of iTunes' 10 top-selling songs with "Poker Face" (No. 3) and "Just Dance" (No. 6), while her debut album, "The Fame," ranked as the year's third-best seller on the iTunes charts.

She's also up for five awards at this month's Grammys, including Album, Record and Song of the Year; and she won three awards at last year's MTV Video Music Awards, including Best New Artist.

But more than awards and accolades, Gaga has captivated the music world by getting people to talk -- about her outrageous sense of style, her over-the-top performances and yes, her music. That avalanche of buzz led to her selling out two shows at Detroit's Fox Theatre which, due to production concerns, were shuffled to Joe Louis Arena.

We, too, have found ourselves coming under a spell of Lady Gaga fever, which is less deadly than the swine flu but just as contagious.

Hello Hello my fellow little monsters... Some of you may remember seeing a post about this the other day, but I'm going to bring it up again... Since January 7th is so soon, and the Westboro Baptist Church will be protesting our lovely Lady Gaga, I created a group for supporters of Gaga and equality.

My original idea involved somehow sending a support video to Gagaloo on the 7th so we could show her that while there are idiots who think she is some kind of satanic tool, WE love her and are behind her. However, not a lot of video clips were sent in, so the editor of the video and I decided we should send the video to Gaga on Valentine's Day
